How this is calculated

Baby and children's clothing is anchored to height (the EU/UK label is the child's height in centimetres) and weight. US uses months, then toddler 'T' sizes, then numeric. Age bands are typical averages only — children of the same age vary by a lot — so measure your child's height and choose by that, sizing up if they're between sizes or growing quickly. Always check the brand's own chart.
